Oeiras is a municipality in Portugal, in Lisbon district, in the Lisbon area. At the 2021 census it had 171,802 inhabitants over an area of 45.7 km².
With about 3,759 inhabitants per km², it is one of the most densely populated areas in the country, part of a large metropolitan area. Of the 16 municipalities in Lisbon district, it is number 5 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 11 km west of Lisboa, the capital.
