Albergaria-a-Velha is a municipality in Portugal, in Aveiro district, in the Beiras, in central Portugal. At the 2021 census it had 24,841 inhabitants over an area of 155.4 km².
With about 160 inhabitants per km², it combines a medium-sized town with villages and farmland. Of the 19 municipalities in Aveiro district, it is number 10 by population.
As the crow flies it lies about 13 km north-east of Aveiro, the capital. The nearest major city is Porto, about 55 km away.
